Weight on Planets

Weight on Planets Calculator

See how an Earth weight changes under the surface gravity values used by this calculator for the major planets. Enter your Earth weight in kilograms and choose a planet.

How it is calculated

The calculator scales the entered Earth weight by the selected planet's gravity relative to Earth's 9.8 m/s²:

Planet weight = Earth weight × Planet gravity ÷ 9.8

The built-in values are Mercury 3.7, Venus 8.87, Earth 9.8, Mars 3.71, Jupiter 24.79, Saturn 10.44, Uranus 8.69 and Neptune 11.15 m/s².

Important note

The calculator displays the result in kg as a weight-equivalent value. In physics, mass is measured in kilograms while weight is a force measured in newtons.
